Deleting an Item

You are able to delete an item at the Manage Items page. When an item is deleted from IntelliTrack, a Delete Item transaction is recorded in application history.

If an item is in use by the system, it cannot be deleted. For example, if an item is found in inventory, it cannot be deleted. If an asset type item contains an asset, it cannot be deleted.

Note: As an alternative to deleting an item, you may deactivate the item (see "Changing the Item Status" for more information).

To delete an item, follow the steps below:

  1. Select Manage > Items to reach the Manage Items page.
  2. Find the item that you want to delete and select the Delete icon to the right.Delete icon
  3. A warning prompt appears asking you if you want to delete this item and notifying you that instead of deleting the item you may deactivate it instead.
    1. To close the prompt and continue deleting the item, select OK.
      1. If the item is not in use, you are returned to the Manage Items page; the item has been removed.
    2. To close the prompt and cancel deleting the item, select Cancel.
      1. You are returned to the Manage Items page; the item remains in the list.
